Shadows Of The Empire

It is no secret that we have recently had quite the hullabaloo of late over the rather large amounts of tainted products wending their poisoned way into the US from points overseas. The main dealers of death and ill-health are the products manufactured or produced in China. The manufacture of toys has long been an overseas affair. So much so that we have taken it as an out of hand arrangement and give it no second though. Yet there is another item upon which we depend that we are bringing in from the outside. And, any American may be scratching their heads in consternation as to why and why from there. I speak of food. We are importing large amounts of food from this nation and others whom have never made it a secret that they are not fond of us or our way of life. They are, instead enamored of the cash to which we bring them. And they have built up quite a stockpile of their own.

I may be missing something here, but it is understood that we are a massive nation. We have a Midwest filled with hundreds upon thousands of miles of fertile fields for the growth of vegetables, grains, beans, etc. We have coasts that lay upon two oceans and numerous bays and gulfs. Are we lacking in seafood or in those other foodstuffs upon which we rely for our nourishment? It seems that we may. Sadly so, we have conditioned the American farmer to survive on Government subsidies to not produce rather than the product of his sweat and toil brought up from the Earth. Thus, we have been increasing our desire and need to procure the cheapest of produce from nations hostile, if not openly, to our interests and survival. This also applies to the baubles we use to surround ourselves. These are the diversions of Consumer Electronics, our clothing and our creature comforts. And we are not the first super power to have done so.

I speak of the Roman Empire. The Empire was agreeably one of the largest and most powerful nations of the ancient world. It was flung s far as the British Isles and stretched into Egypt. So varied were the locales in which they had left their footprint and their presence that numerous goods never before available were brought into and relied upon as had never been seen. It became common to assume this supply would always be there and for prices seen nowhere else outside the bounds of the Empire. This caused them to be increasingly, and in the end, totally reliant upon their charges for their very sustenance; for the very items they bought and sold as their livelihoods. This is where they stretched beyond their ability to feed their very own. Additionally, their bits and baubles were shipped from far and wide for the enrichment and entertainment of Patrician and Plebe alike.

And still, we find that there are contrasts here. The Roman Empire subjugated and made their own the lands from whence their commerce and agriculture came. We cannot speak so. We have many a nation upon which we have made ourselves dependant for our survival. Yet we find we do not have military power and control of these outposts. We rely on the benevolence of nations which are far from benevolent. In further contrast, we have the full capability to produce almost all these thing we rely upon out of our own lands and industries. However, it appears that we have lost the will to do this very thing. Or, we have been denied the right, at least agriculturally, by the Patricians of our Modern Age.

We know that the end of the aforementioned Empire was brought about by the laziness and corruption of the Patrician leaders and the willful distraction of the Plebes. This distraction held before them by the Patricians seeking to keep the mob from tearing them limb-from-limb were they to see the real danger the Empire had been placed in. Even a simple baker, were he not distracted, would have seen that it is best to grow your own grain, to mill it, and then to bake and sell the end result. In our present Nation, we find the Patricians are not the Conservatives, as the media may seek to misinform, but from the so-called Progressives who wish to surrender our sovereignty with a wink and a smile. At our roots, the Conservatives wish to keep labor and production upon our shores, but have been thwarted by the Labor Union lapdogs of the Left. The Plebes find their Circuses in our Reality Shows, vapid entertainment, and the pabulum fed to them by an ever veiled and deceiving media. Their Bread comes in the form of mandatory minimum wage laws, welfare, and the hollow and distracting promises of more to come.

The Empire was destroyed by barbarians from without and corruption within. And in this, there is no contrast. We find that even at this moment, the barbarians of our downfall come not on longboat and horse, but on the cargo ships, the boxcar and semi trailer. Steadily they pour in to our nation to bring down our populace with a taint upon our sustenance and the financial ruin of our companies. The very lifeblood of our economy I threatened as they hemorrhage cash due to, dare I say planned, negligence on the part of their foreign manufacturers. Our strength for the new day, for industry, sapped by illness due to the tainted food we have consumed. The recall of Chinese foodstuffs and the recall of shoddily, poisoned products from the same nation are seeking to tear us apart from within and without. And what other time bombs; what hidden hordes of destruction do are we in peril of from the myriad hostile nations to whom we have surrendered our means of continuing on? We see now, as the years have played out, the consequences of the granting of the Most Favored Nation status to an enemy who seeks to see us fall. We see over the horizon the much more frightening specter that this may just be the beginning.

But what is it that can be done? We have grown too accustomed to buying jeans sewn in Malaysia or Viet Nam. We buy cars electronics from China, among other things. What can we do? The answer is tough. And it will be a sacrifice, but one which we must be prepared to face to ensure our survival. We must return to days past, when our nation was strong. We must return to industry and production within our sovereign and blessed borders. And we must get the American farmer producing again. As consumers, we must say no to those things created in the countries hostile to our own, and buy our produce from those who grow within our twice-blessed shores. We have little power as individuals. And yet we have a great power which drives the systems that keep this nation thriving. We speak with our Cash. If companies find that the products they create in factories in these enemy states are no longer making money for them, they may be forced to return to the homeland for their livelihood. But we must ensure they bring them back to non-union shops. Those who sell foodstuffs must know that these things they buy from overseas will no longer move. They must be taught that the American farmers and fishers are their only hope to remain viable.

I may seem a rambling nut, but I from my heart as one from whose eyes the wool has been pulled away. Lest we become like the Empire before, we must stop the Patrician corruption. We must say no to Bread and Circuses that so distract the Plebes. We must return to the label “Made in America”. With stout hearts and staunch wallets, we may yet stem the invading Barbarian horde, and retain the splendor of a nation that slips daily into decay. It is a nation that was great and can be again. We must see to it and preserve our Republic.

An InFISAble Proposition

My, my, my… what an interesting change of heart the Democrats have had. I’m talking, of course, about the expansion of FISA. The Foreign Intelligence Security Act that was so maligned by the Left, their media puppets, and every nutrtoot out there. Strangely, the willingness to support this type of surveillance has shifted in the fever swap of the Liberal mind. And I have to ask myself why.

In trying to dissect this amazing turnaround, we must keep two things in mind. One is the results of the 2006 midterm election. We find ourselves witnessing a balance shift in terms of party and political ideology in the House and Senate, often at the detriment of those who are allegedly represented. The second is the rather fervent push to reinstate the “Fairness Doctrine” in a so called attempt to balance political perspective in our country. A doctrine which any citizen with at least two neurons to rub together can see has nothing to do with fairness and everything to do with the stifling of free and opposing speech in this Country.

A glance at recent political diatribe and dogma from the Left gives the lie that the Democrat party wants anything to do with fairness. They seek to limit it in any form not conforming to the party groupthink. We see new definitions of Hate Speech, more PC bullshit and a larger effort to stifle the smaller voice of Conservativism. They try to attack talk radio, blogs, websites supporting conservatives or maligning regressives. All the while championing the hate speech of their true socialist brethren. Thus, I feel ill at ease about the expansion of FISA. Especially as those who seek to destroy our great nation gain greater Mainstream Media influence while filling the pages of their playbooks with the diaries of DKos.

Now, I supported FISA at first and didn’t think such a large stink should have been made over it. I opposed the Dubai Ports deal. I railed against the Shamnesty bill. But this disturbing shift in the balance of power, and the increasing overtness of the Left’s attack on speech beyond their approved viewpoints, set me on knife’s edge. Make no mistake: Should the left gain the White House, though the Socialists railed against it when it was Bush’s faux pas, the very thing they decry will be the bludgeon of Free Speech’s demise. They seek to expand so that they can find whom to try and silence. Is the name Vince Foster ringing any bells? I fear something in the same vein with less lead and contrived suicide plots.

I know that this sounds like a fevered, Leftist rant. But, think about what possible reason the Dhimmicrats would seek to expand this legislation. The point may be moot, as FRED! Will mostly likely gain that fine White House in the District of Columbia. But be wary my friends. Beware Socialist bearing tools for national security.

Remember, they don’t want to be your government; they want to be your nanny.

Ludicrous. Simply Ludicrous.

Again, I stand before you completely unsurprised by the treasonous New York Slimes. It seems “The Paper of Record” and birdcage lining is again showing its true colors. Now, it’s not like they are lying, just being selective with the facts. In a recent article in the Slimes, covering Pelosi’s warning to President Bush that vetoing the Surrender Bill ( which is what the Democrat party in Congress has turned the latest troop funding bill into) would send the wrong message to the Iraqi leadership, we see this in action. Within the article, the Slimes plays fast and loose with the truth. The gist is that he better not slaughter her sacred cow, or else. Or else what? Exactly.

But, it is not the ludicrous nature of the warning that gets to me. Though, that is rather amazing that a wanker Congress creature would deign to tell the President of the United States (Commander-in-Chief for the folks just joining our fine Republic, or Reality for that matter) how to prosecute a war. Even more audacious is this Botox-riddled idiot’s warning against the Big Man using his Constitutionally granted powers. But, as we’ve seen… the Left has little use for the Constitution unless it covers their asses after their many foibles return to haunt them. I doubt most have even read it. And, given the average intelligence of a Leftard, the big words probably scared them away from serious study and understanding.

The Leftards could benefit from Mrs. Du Toit’s Plain-Language Constitution Project.

As to the Illustration of the Leftie bias and the Propping up of the Dhimmicrats, read the linked article. The article states that the US General, now overseeing operations in Baghdad (General Petraeus), has stated that the war is not winnable via military action. Ladies and Genteleman, welcome to the lie of omission. The General has indeed stated that the war cannot be won by military action ALONE. And it is that alone that speaks volumes about the bias from the New York Slimes. For Petraeus’ actual comments, you can check out this article.

By the way, does anyone else find it beyond hilarious that Pelosi is warning the President about vetoing? I just get the image in my head of Silly Putty Face in an alley holding a Swiss army knife loosely and shakily while warning a much larger and stronger individual to leave her alone or else. And, just in case you were wondering, the threat is just like every Castrati Democrat threat. Empty and without backing. Maybe they can pass a non-binding resolution on it? Idiots.

Well, I'll Be

I suppose I might as well chime in. It's been all over the blogosphere. So, I'm gonna throw in my $.04 (Adjusted for inflation stemming from a Democrat controlled Congress.) Are you ready? Here goes...

WHO GIVES A FLYING FUCK???

Wow. Ann Coulter said something off-color and insulting. Knock me over with a feather. I mean, this is so unlike Ann. She never says anything shocking. The LEFT just loves her and wishes her nothing but the best. And, as I type this, winged apes are flying directly from their nests located deep in my colon.

When the hell did we stop being the Right? You know... the party of personal responsibility, anti-PC, anti-big government, anti-wadded thong man panties. That was us. Conservatism, they hardly knew ye. At least those that are squaking like Moonbat KOSsack DUmmies. The rest of us are intact.

Ann dropped the F-Bomb. Well, not That F-Bomb. If she'd dropped that one, the Marcotte-buggering goat-lovers would have been hooting and hollering and slapping Ann on the back like an audience member at the Apollo. She used the British word for cigarette. To describe John Edwards.

Come to think of it... I really am appalled. I've known a lot of Faggots in my time. I've found them to be pleasant. They have been good friends. They've been consistent and honest and open, regardless of whether it loses them friends and support. And they always speak their minds. So.. Ann... Stop bagging on Faggots by calling John Edwards on. That's just really insulting to the rump rangers.

And speaking of Edwards and Marcotte, do you think she's gonna hate him now that he "says" faith is an important part of his life? Worthless godbag.

So, in short... everyone that was offended by what Ann said... Grow the fuck up. Read the First Amendment. Get an adult to explain the words to you. Then have them explain the meaning of a joke, of satire and fair play. After all, where are the calls of shame on those wishing that Cheney had been killed? Get over yourselves and start recognizing dangerous speech. As opposed to just tasteless, tacky, and fucking hilarious speech.

Faggots!

Give Me Apathy or Give Me... You Know... Whatever.

So it’s been a while since I’ve posted anything. It certainly isn’t that there wasn’t a lot to post about. There has been a veritable smorgasbord of idiocy that could serve as fodder for my misanthropic ranting. The Foley scandal, the midterm elections, the elevation of the Wicked Witch of the West to Speaker of the House, the deluded ramblings of Rangel and his draft proposal. It’s been what a malcontent such as I would call a target rich environment. I’ve been busy. But beyond that, I’ve had so much anger and rage at the stupidity of the American populace and the Republican leadership that the flood of bile trying to free itself from my mind has caused my brain to seize in an apoplexy just attempting to form the words of condemnation.

So, here we are in a new year. The new Democrat regime has been sworn in. The cut and run, gun-grabbing, isolationist cowards are now steering the Legislative. Joy of joys. About the only thing a Republican like myself (and given recent behavior of my party, I use the term loosely) can take solace in is the fact that the Left now has been given a sufficient length of rope with which to hang themselves. What happened to the Party? What happened to the Congress of Gingrich? Where did the Contract with America go? It appears that it has been inked over by pork and self-interest, and an overall detachment from and seeming contempt for the Base.

I am an Arizonan. Again, I apologize to you all out there on behalf of my state for having continually put McCain in office. Thankfully, we know we can count on Kyl, and for that I take comfort. But, overall, I’m disappointed that we have lost touch with the core values that allowed America to see the foolishness of the Leftist agenda and thus vote in those that would counteract the out-of-control spending and almost unstoppable march to a Socialist America. The Party that I grew up with brought to the table this election only the assertion that “At least we’re not AS bad as the other guys”. And for this, we now face a Democrat majority in the House and Senate and an overall disappointment from the party base. They seem to have forgotten that we aren’t the BDS crowd. We don’t make decisions based on sticking it to the other guy, but on what I best for the health and future of our nation. We are not a people that choose the lesser of two evils. We want results. A secure nation, secure borders, lower taxes, smaller government and the upholding and furtherance of Conservative values. But all we received was the assurance that as bad as the Republican leadership had been and providing and securing these things, Dems in power would be worse. And thus the base responded. And thus the Republican Congress is no more for the time being.

It appears that learning this lesson is going to be a slow path for those in power in the party. Rumsfeld was sacrificed on the altar of appeasement of those that would drag the nation down and push the will of the few at the expense of the many. The hubris continues. I read on the blog of a leftist that Pelosi wanted the House to be in session 5 days of the week. To actually work full time upon the task of national governance and lawmaking. And the largest detractors were from Republican representatives. We, the party of the work ethic. We, the party of commitment to the nation and its continued security and prosperity. We who should be committed to working every hour it takes to wrest, once again, the direction of this nation from the appeasers, nay-sayers and cowards. We, who should be committed to keeping the nation mighty and secure and a land of plenty. It was our representatives that balked at the concept. An illustration of how far our leadership has strayed from the path, and just how blind they have become to the goal.

I can only hope that our Republican reps will remember what it means to be Conservative. That our President will be reminded as well. We have little time for business as usual with these dangerous enemies of liberty at the helm. Dear god let them learn quickly, and let Bush find his Veto pen. But I’m just one guy. What do I know? Sadly, enough to feel betrayed, dismayed and waylaid by those I trusted and voted for.

May the Democrat party hang themselves with the rope they’ve been given and may the nation be freed from the mental illness of BDS. Until then, keep them loaded, close and well-oiled, because we’ve been left on our own for a while.
