Absurd Spices

Fun and frustration from a gimp with an axe to grind. After all, absurdity is the spice of life. There will also be Punch and Pie

Oh my god! Look behind you! *sucker punch*

Ah. October. The air is getting crisp here in Arizona and the temperature is starting to drop. Of course, that isn’t the only thing getting colder. The hearts of those on the Left continue to frost over in their desperate bid to grab the House and Senate back from Republican control. Wracked with BDS they grasp. But instead of trying to actually be relevant, and find a leg to stand on, once again the Left strikes out with ad hominem attacks tailor-made to sway the minds of the simpletons that would vote for them

We’ve all seen it happening in our respective states. An incumbent Republican is attacked by some Lib with a war chest from his own considerable fortune, or from some PAC flush with Soros bills, while our own honorable candidates look to the people for support and funds. Who was it that was the party of Billionaire, fat, White guys? Which one is Ted Kennedy in again? We try to play fair. We try to stay civil. We realize that for this country to remain strong we must have unity, as a population, behind the right actions and policies. We do. They don’t.

In my state, we have the Incumbent John Kyl running against a multi-millionaire, Jim Pedersen. While Senator Kyl is an upstanding man who has been on The Hill for many years working for our side, Jim Pedersen has been building up his fortune. And he’s using it to try and smear a man that wants to protect our borders, revoke healthcare and welfare privileges for illegals, and further other fiscal, social and security conscious policies.

Now I’m not saying that the amassing of wealth is a bad thing. Far from it. It is the wealthy that run the centers of commerce that keep most of the population (the ones who will work) in jobs to provide for themselves and family. But this millionaire is supposedly from the party that looks out for the fellow man, wants to give to the poor, wants amnesty for illegals, etc. I’m wondering what he needs his millions for if he really cares about what he says he does. What kind of man would we have making decisions on our behalf if he had to buy an election rather than win by the will of the people?

Pedersen, like most on the Left trying to unseat incumbents, know they haven’t a leg to stand on. So what do they do? They smear. They fight dirty. They play the Wizard, imploring the public to ignore the man behind the curtain. Pedersen has tried to slander Kyl over the Abramoff affair. Yet, something in my heart tells me that if Pedersen were on The Hill, he’d be lining his pockets with that filthy lucre to add to his already large collection. Probably would have grabbed for large payments too. He then goes on to state that Kyl voted against bills surrounding the very planks in Kyl’s platform. He stated he voted for amnesty for illegals, against English as an official language, etc., ad nauseum, ad infinitum. And he expects people to swallow the pill.

See, he knows anyone that would vote for a Dhimmicrat is obviously of the sort that takes everything as read and stays below the surface. He knows that his voter base won’t ask the important questions like, “What else was attached to the bill he voted against?”, or, “What rider or wording in this Bill made him vote for it?”, or, “Did the wording of the bill really mean what he said it means?” For a party that “prides” itself on nuance, the Dhims are extremely literal when it comes to slander. No nuance at all, and never, NEVER the whole picture. They just can’t trust the public to know the whole truth. If they did that, Pedersen wouldn’t stand a snowball’s chance in hell. Not like he stands a particularly good chance anyway. Though, the folks here did elect Napolitano, and keep sending McCain back to Washington. So it’s a toss-up.

So, as displeased as we may be with the manner in which certain members of our Electorate have been behaving, i.e. being pussified, back-pedaling RINO’s, we should remember to look at the whole picture. We are the party of truth. We are the ones who ask the deeper questions. We don’t take everything that is handed to us, but actually dig in and find the truth in all the spin. Don’t let your Pedersen fool you into turning against your Kyl, just as I won’t let the real turn me from the real.

By the way, want to know what Kyl’s reaction has been? He’s stuck to his own merits and refuses to play into the finger pointing spin game. We have the high ground. They say that it is good to question authority, and I agree. But when they give the right answer, then you support them all the way.

Don’t believe the hype. Don’t believe the lies. Don’t hand over the Legislature in ’06. Support your party and support what is good for our nation.

P.S. It’s been a while since I last blogged, so forgive me for being a tad rusty.

and bravo to your content, DE. I got lefty relative-in-laws in AZ that keep demanding my Hubby bring us back, and I keep telling them we're not gonna if they keep voting demoncrap, but the truth is, if we find better Jobs in AZ, we'd seriously consider moving back so long as it stays REPUBLICAN!! Keep up the good work, DE, so we can come home.

Don't be too disheartened by the election losses. We had our chances to make it work, and it was muffed. Blame Bush? Well, he does lead the party...

It will take some good leadership to get conservatives back in power. THere is definitely a vacuum.
